Strongly expected to take on the role of manager, Jonathan Wisniewski has ultimately decided to withdraw his application for the position. While he was hoping for a quick response from the management in Maralpin to commit alongside his former teammate Julien Brugnaut, the latter chose to postpone their decision.
The Nice management is expected to make their decision next Friday. This delay does not exactly sit well with the former fly-half, who wanted to have some leeway on the final recruitments and staff structuring, and in the absence of which, he decided to withdraw his application while Julien Brugnaut will eventually commit as the forwards coach alongside Fabrice Estebanez in Bourg-en-Bresse.
The candidates remaining in the running for the manager position at Stade Niçois are now down to two, namely former Suresnes player Alexandre Compan and Arnaud Vercruysse.
