The city of Nice has been committed since 2008 to developing childcare places in early childhood establishments to better meet the needs of families. Since then, 417 places have been created through 16 new structures, allowing nearly 800 additional children to be accommodated. To date, the municipality offers more than 1,850 places for approximately 6,000 children welcomed each year.

To allow the general public (students, parents, professionals…) to discover and learn about the world of early childhood: its professions, the different forms of care, the life of a child at the nursery…, a municipal information day is organized on Saturday, June 16, 2012, from 10 am to 6 pm.
> Various information stands and educational workshops will be hosted by professionals:
Nutrition, health, psychology, and disability information space, Parents and Children’s House;
Early Childhood Relay Space, Family Allowance Fund, and General Council;
Playful activity spaces for children.

During this conference organized at 10:30 am at the Garibaldi association space, a pediatrician, a nutrition professional, will emphasize the importance of a balanced, diverse, and healthy diet from a young age.
