Early closure for the Auron ski resort.

Latest News

Due to the drought, the Auron ski resort will close earlier, two weeks ahead of the originally scheduled date.

## An Early Closure of the Resorts

With the first snowfalls, the ski season started in the Alpes-Maritimes in December. A winter season marked by the energy efforts made by local authorities and the hope of snowy weather.

Unfortunately, some resorts had to close earlier than expected due to the absence of snow. This was the case for Gréolières, on March 8th, which was the first Azurean resort to close, while Valberg and La Colmiane ended their season on March 19th. The Isola and Auron resorts hoped to maintain their set closure dates. However, weather and snow conditions also forced the Tinée station to anticipate the end of its 2022-2023 ski season to April 10th. Conditions are better at Isola, which will close as planned on April 23rd.

## A 2022-2023 Season Marked by Record Attendance

After two complicated seasons due to the COVID crisis, this 2022-2023 season allowed the Nice Côte d’Azur resorts to return to their usual operation with continuous attendance. At Auron, their best-ever revenue was recorded this year. As for Isola 2000, the resort is on track with the record season of 2019.

> In our resorts, customers were present throughout this season, proving that the investments made by the Syndicat Mixte since 2003 allow us to provide the best welcome conditions for all those who wish to enjoy our ski areas. Auron is now preparing for a very beautiful summer season in 2023 before the 2023-2024 winter season.
