The Network Education Without Borders calls for a gathering this Tuesday, July 23rd, from 6:30 pm to 7:00 pm at Place Masséna against prejudices towards the Roma. These principles will be proclaimed with music, testimonies, information, during an exceptional silence circle.
For Tersa Maffeis, “Faced with the hateful deluge against the Roma that reminds us of very dark years, faced with the prejudices and amalgams maintained by certain ‘responsible’ politicians using ignorance and fear, we, members of the collective ‘Network Education Without Borders’ (RESF), consider it our duty to inform our fellow citizens:
All children have the same value, and we defend their right to regular schooling (International Convention on the Rights of the Child).
In the name of Human Rights proclaimed by France, we demand for everyone access to housing, health, education, and culture, as well as protection by public authorities identical to that of other residents of our country.
The problems will not be solved by barbed wire, padlocks, and hatred but by welcoming, respect, and education.”
