EELV: Opening of the monthly debates at Museaav

Latest News

For this first monthly debate that took place yesterday, October 31st, Michรจle Rivasi was the guest of honor. Michรจle Rivasi is a European MP for EELV and the founder of CRIIRAD and CRIIREM. Due to serious reasons, she could not be present and intervened via live video.

She passed the baton to answer questions on the three topics to Sรฉbastien Barles, her parliamentary assistant on nuclear issues, Nadรจge Bonfils on shale gas, and Sylvie Bonaldi, an association activist, on relay antennas.

The debate focused on energy alternatives: producing locally, avoiding the dominance of large groups over sustainable sectors, and conducting an energy transition democratically through citizen initiatives. The emphasis was on methane farms, biomass, compressed-air engines, and tidal turbines, which are currently forms of energy that can be produced locally and allow us to move away from nuclear and fossil energies.

The topic of relay antennas raised issues related to the presence of relay antennas near schools and public gardens, hindering the precautionary principle and proving the influence of mobile phone operators.

It was also an opportunity to announce that Europe Ecology Les Verts in Nice will acquire measuring equipment to inform the public.
