At the invitation of the Alps-Maritimes Delegation of the Regional Council of the Muslim Faith, Dominique Estrosi-Sassone, Deputy Mayor in charge of Housing and Social Cohesion, will participate in the festival marking the end of Ramadan, the Eid al-Fitr festival.
The Eid al-Fitr festival marks the end of the fasting period and the first day of the following month, after a new moon.
Eid is celebrated after 29 or 30 days of fasting.
In the early morning, worshippers gather for the first Eid prayer.
On this day, they share moments of joy, happiness, and forgiveness with their family.
