There was a buzz this Saturday in Saint-Laurent-du-Var to witness the landing of the Emirates Airbus A380-861, which touched down this Saturday afternoon at 1:36 PM at Nice Cรดte d’Azur airport, the second airport in France to welcome this superjumbo.
The aircraft had taken off from Dubai at 8:45 AM local time with 519 passengers on board. It is the largest passenger transport aircraft in the world.
Until now operated with a Boeing 777-300ER, the daily Nice-Dubai route benefits from a 44% increase in capacity thanks to the A380. Emirates will thus offer a total of 3,633 seats each week, more than any other international airline, demonstrating the importance of Nice in Emirates’ global destination network.
