Emmanuel Macron was in Tremblay-en-France this Thursday, October 14th. The President of the Republic announced an investment of 200 million euros for 5,000 new sports infrastructures before 2024.
“These will include 1,000 dojos, more than 500 basketball structures, movable swimming pools, and pools for learning how to swim,” he detailed.
The deputy from Nice, Cédric Roussel, as the president of the Sports Economy Study Group, welcomes these announcements:
“This plan, with easily mobilized funds, short deadlines, and a direct connection to the field, is a strong action aimed at strengthening the role of sports in our society in both the short and long term. Since 2017, we have been acting together faster, closer, stronger!” Cédric Roussel exclaims.
“Sport for All means having sports facilities nearby, relying on a diversity of high-quality facilities tailored to the needs of each area. These announcements reinforce sports in their social, societal, and economic role for today’s and tomorrow’s athletes. It is excellent news!”
