Emmanuel Macron was in Tremblay-en-France this Thursday, October 14th. The President of the Republic announced an investment of 200 million euros for 5,000 new sports infrastructures before 2024.

โ€œThese will include 1,000 dojos, more than 500 basketball structures, movable swimming pools, and pools for learning how to swim,โ€ he detailed.

The deputy from Nice, Cรฉdric Roussel, as the president of the Sports Economy Study Group, welcomes these announcements:

โ€œThis plan, with easily mobilized funds, short deadlines, and a direct connection to the field, is a strong action aimed at strengthening the role of sports in our society in both the short and long term. Since 2017, we have been acting together faster, closer, stronger!โ€ Cรฉdric Roussel exclaims.

โ€œSport for All means having sports facilities nearby, relying on a diversity of high-quality facilities tailored to the needs of each area. These announcements reinforce sports in their social, societal, and economic role for today’s and tomorrow’s athletes. It is excellent news!โ€
