A group, a living community, has been permanently based at the site of Saint André de la Roche since 1956.
Emmaus collects donations, sorts them, values them, and puts them up for sale. The work, understood as activity rather than productivity, is an important factor in the individual and collective human rebuilding of the companions of Emmaus. This work also ensures the financial independence of the community, enabling it to be a force for advocacy and promotes the implementation of solidarity actions.
The association’s structure reflects Emmaus’s desire to remain independent and allows it to maintain freedom of expression.
On the occasion of its anniversary, Emmaus invites you until Saturday, June 24, to discover or rediscover the work carried out within the community. Various performances will be offered on Saturday, June 24, throughout the day and evening.
The program includes theater, dance, clown acts, music, permanent exhibitions, and poetry, featuring:
Cie Les rats Clandestins, Cie L’arpette, Cie Pou and Tic, ESB, 309 et des Pouffettes, Nux vomica, Sinké Zakéou, Les Bosinaires de Nissa, and the parade by Yogi.

Afternoon show of June 24:
Choreographic Duo Cie Les rats Clandestins on June 24 at 15:15: A poetic universe in which quirky and free characters evolve, a way to search elsewhere for the boundaries of art, dance, and clowning.
Les Bosinaires de Nissa play on the afternoon of June 24, at the community at 14:45 and in the evening between groups in the village square: An Afro-Brazilian street percussion group that occasionally adds the fifre, the grailh (Catalan oboe)…
Evening from 18:00 in the village square.
Cie Pou and Tic at 18:00 and 18:30: Two parasites performing in a deceptive quarter-hour show lasting 12 minutes.
18:45 Aperitif
20:15 Les Bosinaires de Nissa and between each band 309 and les Pouffettes at 20:30: Theatricalized songs, to be lived, laughed, and danced.
Concert of Nux Vomica at 22:00: Nux Vomica, a blend of everyday life, carnival rhythms, ‘cansoneta,’ all mixed with sound system, narrates life from Nice with a sometimes satirical gaze.
Concert of Sinké Zakéou at 23:30: They mix styles around a progressive and syncopated ska with committed and festive eclecticism.
