All the departments of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region are classified as “green,” but “the situation remains fragile,” regional Prefect Pierre Dartout reminded on Monday. He warns the public after observing a relaxation of the lockdown over the weekend.
“Attention, attention, the lockdown must be respected until the end, one more week,” warns Pierre Dartout – “people are making more use of their right to go out.”
Moreover, the mayor of Nice, Christian Estrosi, had made the same observation in recent days and sounded the alarm.
In Nice, it suffices to take a look at the traffic on the Promenade des Anglais and other main roads to see that the ‘vroom vrommists’ are back.
The Minister of Health and Solidarity, Olivier Véran, has specified that only the departments in “green,” as of May 7, will be able to benefit from the reopening measures, particularly parks and gardens.
The numbers of new cases, hospitalizations, and intensive care admissions are declining, but they indicate that the virus is still circulating.
Therefore, there is only one solution if we want to get through this: remain vigilant, until the end.
