The French economic recovery will be a bit stronger than expected. After plunging 8% in 2020, GDP is expected to grow by 6.25% this year, rather than 6%, the Insee reported this Tuesday.
While this revision may be considered a slight adjustment—the statistics institute admits “a possible margin of error”—it confirms good news: in the fourth quarter of 2021, economic activity should have returned to its level from the last three months of 2019, before the pandemic, according to Insee.
