Ensemble Collective: Standing Up to Demand the Withdrawal of the Labor Law

Latest News

For Arthur Leduc, the spokesperson for the movement: “The government is trying to defuse the mobilization with some adjustments, but the core of the project remains the same.”

Following the strike days and demonstrations, the “Nuits debout” have emerged, gathering hundreds or thousands of participants in an increasing number of cities, in Nice and all over France.

The objective is clear: all the conditions are in place to shift the balance of power and to achieve the withdrawal of the labor law: just like in May-June 1936, May 1968, or the fall of 1995, a general strike could effectively block the country if workplace assemblies decide on an ongoing strike.

The alternative to the labor law? It’s a labor code that regains its function of protecting the workforce from employer pressure; it’s a massive reduction of working hours to 32 hours per week, without a decrease in wages and with corresponding hires: time to live, work for everyone, continuing the history of the labor movement.

Arthur Leduc firmly believes: “Let’s regain confidence and hope, all together, standing up, we can win!”
