Equita ’06: the must-attend event for equestrian sports.

jpg_equita.jpg The Alpes-Maritimes Departmental Riding Committee has existed since 2001. After a slow start, it took off in September 2007 and gradually gained recognition.

Initially among clubs, then among departmental institutions.
Democratizing equestrianism, opening it to as many people as possible, making horse riding a dream accessible to all, is one of our spearheads.

EQUITA ’06 aims to showcase different types of horsemanship to the general public. Indeed, everyone should be able to find their happiness in the 20 disciplines of this activity, regardless of age, budget, or disability.

The department has 7,900 licensees, a number that is constantly increasing, thus creating jobs. That’s why the committee suggests guiding young people towards horse-related professions, as the Antibes Training Center does, which will be present this Sunday in Cagnes.

Laetitia Weale, president of the CDE:

“EQUITA ’06 will be the showcase of equestrianism in the Alpes-Maritimes, everything that riding can offer will be present at the racetrack on September 19.
The first edition took place on September 13, 2009. It was a great success.
5,000 to 6,000 people attended this day; many young people and families were able to discover the different types of horsemanship.
They were able to meet the club located near them and inquire about prices, availability, etc.

Therefore, at the general request and unanimously by exhibitors, partners, clubs and licensees, teachers and the public, we have decided to repeat this experience in 2010.

All the clubs are with us and we hope to make this event the equestrian world meeting point for many years to come.”
