Supported by a substantial majority of 43 elected officials against 9 opposition representatives, Eric Ciotti was re-elected President of the General Council of Alpes-Maritimes for a term extending until 2014. He was first elected in December 2008.
This meeting was also an opportunity to:
- determine the composition of the Standing Committee,
- elect the members of the Standing Committee,
- grant delegations to the Standing Committee pursuant to Article L 3211-2 of the General Code of Local Authorities, and to the President of the General Council, pursuant to Articles L 3211-2, L 3221-11, and L 3221-12-1 of the General Code of Local Authorities,
- appoint the representatives of the General Council to the Procurement Committee, the Committee for Opening Bids for Public Service Delegations, the Competition Jury Committee, and the Board of Directors of the Alpes-Maritimes Departmental Fire and Rescue Service.
