Having come second in the right-wing primary for the presidential election, Éric Ciotti is looking even further and higher: the succession of Christian Jacob as the head of Les Républicains.
“I believe in the necessity of asserting a resolutely right-wing political line, without confusion, without compromise,” said Eric Ciotti in an interview with the JDD.
The Alpes-Maritimes deputy expressed his willingness to “take up the challenge” of the election for the presidency of Les Républicains, although his “final decision” is not “completely made”:
“My final decision is not completely made, but I am ready to take up the challenge and very determined,” declared Éric Ciotti.
The first round of the election for the presidency of Les Républicains will take place electronically from December 3, 2022, at 6 PM to December 4 at 6 PM. If no candidate obtains the majority of the votes cast, a second round will be held on December 10 and 11.
