Eric Collado fell into the cauldron of humor when he was a child with one-third realism, one-third imagination, one-third sensitivity, and one-third lucidity. He landed on our planet on Wednesday, July 17, 1963, in Marseille at 9 PM, weighing almost 5 kilos! As he likes to say, “When I was born, a beautiful baby was a big baby… I was immediately… beautiful!“
The Show “L’enragé”
Jean is a farmer in Chaumeil, a small village in the Corrèze countryside. One day, during the traditional summer dance, he meets Catherine, a Parisian. He falls in love with her at first sight.
She abandons him without giving an explanation, but it’s impossible for him to forget her. Jean is forced to come to Paris. Like Romeo, he leads us under his beloved’s windows and shares his story, their encounter…
Eric Collado brings Jean Vareil to life and through the magic of his performance, he takes us on a journey filled with laughter and emotion in a rural world faced with the harsh urban reality. But Eric is not only Jean; he also embodies a concierge, Roberto Alagna, a suit seller with a Sentier accent, a Pôle Emploi employee, a mayor, firefighters, a gay couple, Catherine… in total more than twenty-three characters.
An astounding acting exercise, a remarkable performance. This artist transitions from one character to another with incredible, disconcerting ease. L’Enragé is the love story between the France from below and the France from above.
