Third-year students from the Sports Management degree at STAPS in Nice have created virtual escape games open to everyone.
Seventeen young people embarked on a great project. After planning to create a giant escape game within their own university, the third-year students from the Sports Management degree at STAPS in Nice had to find a solution to adapt to the restrictions due to the current health situation. However, they had everything planned with the “Escape Worlds” project.
Starting from March 20, they offer the chance to explore various and diverse worlds through virtual escape games. The STAPS students were determined to execute this project at all costs: “Escape Worlds is much more than just a game, it is a fun way to test one’s thinking and cohesion abilities within their own group and to enjoy a moment of sharing.”
This work is part of a global operation. The University requires these final-year students to organize events of this type. Thus, the 17 young people involved came up with a brilliant idea to escape for 45 minutes with fun and enjoyable games. Participants can choose from six different themes: superheroes, horror/Covid-19, space, military, OSS 06, and mystery.

The superhero and horror worlds are particularly impressive, featuring immersive videos. The price of the game is 20 euros. For other worlds, the price is set at 5 euros. It is possible to enter these worlds alone or with several people. However, the members of STAPS also wanted to show solidarity in favor of their fellow students.
Indeed, access to all escape games is free for students. “Everyone needs to reconnect and restore the frayed social link. After this complicated period, we all want to escape in both literal and figurative senses,” explain the organizers.
