Certainly!
It was thought that the game had calmed down a bit and that the ambassadors of the two clans had conveyed messages to reach a truce.
Obviously, that was not the case!
This communiqué and the initiative announced in it has a specific recipient, even if we don’t see the name or first name. The seemingly trivial nature of the text does not hide what could be defined as a “characterized aggression.”
If the signatory declares themselves, we can clearly see the hand that holds the pen behind the veil!
In fact, who could think of a personal initiative by the deputy without the approval of her mentor?
What can we say? From now until the municipal elections in 2020, it’s going to be a long ride!!!
Resolution proposal aiming to abolish the additional benefits and allowances granted to the questors at the National Assembly
In a tense national context where the exemplary behavior of elected officials is often called into question, Marine Brenier has put forward a resolution proposal to end the additional benefits and allowances granted to the questors of the National Assembly.
While the general mindset is geared towards economizing and rationalizing spending, the National Assembly has seen its expenditures increase significantly.
To address such a deficit, the decision was made to draw from the assembly’s reserve, in order not to request an increase in the State’s allocation. Even if this choice was made to avoid asking the French public to cover this deficit, the only viable solution remains reducing expenditures.
In facing this situation, the questors, who are in charge of managing the finances of the Palais Bourbon, must lead by example.
Additional financial allowances, private chauffeurs, chefs, maître d’hôtel, or even apartments, questors receive numerous benefits that their mission and role do not justify.
Moreover, several of these personal benefits could be better utilized by the National Assembly, and for comparison’s sake, a European questor performs the role without any financial compensation.
Faced with this observation, I request the adoption of this resolution, to send a positive message within the public debate.
