This trophy is focused on human values in business. It was designed to recognize and reward companies that make particular efforts to practice ethical principles by prioritizing the human dimension in a proactive approach.
The methodology for awarding the trophies is simple:
The applicant companies fill out a questionnaire. This is validated by students from CERAM Sophia-Antipolis, members of ETHICUM Junior during company visits. The ranking is approved by a jury composed of socio-professional organizations.
This year, 13 companies have applied in 4 trophy categories:
– Companies with 10 employees or fewer
– Companies with 11 to 19 employees
– Companies with 20 to 49 employees
– Companies with 50 or more employees
ETHICUM is innovating this year by creating the “Better Living Trophy,” dedicated to support and care establishments for dependent persons. A dozen establishments have submitted their applications for this new category in 2006.
The official award ceremony for the Trophies will be held on September 28, 2006, starting at 5:00 PM, at the Business Center of Nice Côte d’Azur Airport – Terminal 1 under the honorary presidency of Mr. TORDO, President of the Union for Business – UPE 06.
Indeed, the validation process is concluded each year with the organization of an official award ceremony attended by many decision-makers and actors in the economic life of the French Riviera, as well as numerous journalists.
It will be preceded by a conference-debate on the theme “Ethics and Profit, a Paradox?” led by: Mr. Philippe BURNAGE, Director of the Contes Plant – Lafarge Group and Mr. Richard JAMET, Secretary of the Central Works Committee – Lafarge Group (also Secretary of the Contes Establishment Committee and CGT Delegate) with the keynote speaker being Professor Samuel MERCIER, Professor at the University of Burgundy, author of a well-known book on Business Ethics.
