On Saturday, May 11, 2024, Europe will be in the spotlight during Nice Europe Day at Jardin Albert 1er.
This event aims to introduce Europe and multiculturalism to both the young and the old. Numerous free activities, events, and workshops will be offered.
The day’s program includes culinary, creative, cultural workshops, games, concerts… as well as:
- A pétanque court set up by the Boulisterie
- Have fun with wooden games, foosball tables, ping-pong tables, cornhole, and giant Connect Four
- Creative workshops: origami, face painting, colorful braiding, flower crowns… and many more.
- Two round tables will take place to discuss cross-border cooperation and the European elections together.
Throughout the day, discover several food trucks offering various specialties: Italian cuisine with pasta and gnocchi, burgers, hot dogs, and wrap nissart, artisanal ice creams, and more at the refreshment bar. Cooking workshops featuring different European specialties will be available.
To celebrate Eurovision, the city of Nice is hosting the Eurovision Party with a live broadcast of the event on the large open stage at the Théâtre de Verdure. This will be followed by an evening featuring DJ sets, food trucks, and a multitude of activities… At the end of the evening, attendees can vote for their favorite song. The evening will be hosted by la Grande Dame from the show Drag Race UK vs the World representing France.
