The Europe Direct Center Nice Côte d’Azur, funded by the European Commission and supported by the Southern Region Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, was inaugurated in the presence of the Secretary of State for European Affairs, Valérie Drezet-Humez, head of the European Commission representation, and Isabelle Coustet, head of the European Parliament office in France.
In partnership with institutional actors, the academic community, the economic sector, and local associations, this Center provides citizens with information about the European Union, its functioning, its actions, and its funding.
Thanks to this tool, the Metropolis further asserts its status as a major European metropolis and its contribution to building a tangible Europe, closely aligned with the needs of citizens and territories.
The premises of the Europe Direct Center Nice, located in the city center, in the heart of the musicians’ quarter, are part of the renewal project for the Notre-Dame neighborhood.
“I am pleased that the MetropoleNCA is part of a network of relay points to bring European information closer to citizens. This Center is a place for European meetings and exchanges where regular events will strengthen the love of the people of Nice for Europe,” stated Christian Estrosi, president of the Metropolis.
