European elections: The “marchers” enter the campaign with Nathalie Loiseau

Latest News

There are no candidates from the Azureans on the list of “marchers” and their allies (MoDem, Agir) for the European elections on May 26th, but that does not mean that leaders and supporters are not in a state of mobilization.

On the contrary, the head of the Renaissance list, Nathalie Loiseau, held her first campaign meeting in Nice after the official presentation last Saturday in Aubervilliers, where she was welcomed by nearly 200 supporters.

Introduced by local referent Enis Sliti, the evening’s proceedings included speeches by candidate Sylvie Brunet, city councilwoman and president of the CCAS Jรถelle Martinaux, and MP Alexandra Valetta-Ardissonโ€”who had accompanied the former Minister of European Affairs to the Menton border earlier in the day for a meeting with police officers tasked with migrant control (“It is at the European level, through even stronger cooperation, that we can provide a lasting response to the migratory challenge,” said Nathalie Loiseau during her speech).

The Macronist representative, speaking in a direct manner, unequivocally expressed her rejection of populist political forces: “We want to solve problems, they don’t, so they can use them for their propaganda.”

The Renaissance list’s projectโ€”a name that certainly evokes a prosperous period in the continent’s historyโ€”calls for the writing of a new chapter of future and progress.

Europe is not a pretty object, concluded the former minister, but a political project that requires convictions and passion.
