On the occasion of the May 1st Labor Day, the Movement for a Europe of Nations and Freedom (MENL) and its eight national parties met in Nice for a significant day of exchanges and combat.
Combat, of course, because a major rally will bring together the leaders of this pan-European movement with the presence of Marine Le Pen, who has fueled chronicles and controversies lately.
It is a meeting where they will affirm their commitment to the defense of the identity and sovereignty of nations.
The recent electoral victories in Austria and Italy by the FPÖ and Lega have boosted the leaders of these parties who proclaim “to be committed to defending the true Europe, our common civilization, against the European Union that has usurped the name and betrayed the principles.”
Their perspective is simple: “to build a Union of European nations based on free cooperation between states and respect for the will of the people.”
How? “By protecting our economies and jobs, ensuring security, addressing mass immigration, and preserving our civilizational values.”
In short, this sounds simple, but in reality, it is a bit more complex!
