Latest News

For the 28th edition of the European Heritage Days, the City of Nice has developed a program themed “Heritage Journey.” As every year, these days will offer everyone the opportunity to discover the immense wealth of Nice’s heritage.

These two days will be an opportunity to visit sites normally closed to the public.

Thus, Christian Estrosi, Deputy, Mayor of Nice, and President of Nice Cรดte dโ€™Azur, will open the doors of his office to the public on Saturday, September 17, 2011.

Additionally, twelve conferences will be offered in the Council Chamber of the Town Hall on Saturday from 10 AM to 7 PM and on Sunday from 2 PM to 6 PM.

Unprecedented tours have also been devised, offering a fresh and informed perspective on the musician’s district or the Port of Nice’s quays. Other tours can be taken by bus, traversing the city from East to West. Finally, a series of now-essential tours will take you from the City Hall to the diacosm of the Nice Opera, from the Palais des Rois Sardes to Chรขteau Valrose…

A breeze of freedom will also blow during these days, as children and parents can follow a treasure hunt, a surprise route titled “the wild day of Lรฉopard de Fulginet.”

Moreover, for enthusiasts of new technologies, there is a narrated route of Old Nice available on mobile phones compatible with “contactless” technology. The map of the download points can be picked up at the Heritage Center.
