Heritage Center / Bellanda Tower / Castle Hill Excavations / Fort of Mont Alban / Cimiez Site – Nice
In preparation for welcoming the public to the European Heritage Days 2011, which will take place on September 16 and 17, the City of Nice has recruited about twenty history and heritage students within its Historical Heritage, Archaeology, and Niçoise Language and Culture Department to supplement its permanent staff.
These temporary employees will have the task of welcoming and informing visitors to the sites open to the public during the Heritage Days, whose numbers increase every year.
On Friday, September 2, these students will undergo training to be operational on the main day.
Jean-Marc Giaume, Municipal Councilor delegated to Historical Heritage, Archaeology, and Niçoise Language and Culture, will oversee these students during their training day, which will proceed as follows:
9 AM/11 AM – Elements of the history of Nice at the Heritage Center of Nice located at 75, Quai des Etats-Unis.
11:15 AM – Visits to the Bellanda Tower and the Castle Hill excavations.
1:30 PM – Departure of the bus for visits to the Fort of Mont Alban and the Cimiez site (the arenas and the park).
5 PM – Return to the Heritage Center.
