The European Heritage Days are the must-attend cultural event of the season. Since 1984, they have demonstrated an undiminished enthusiasm from the public for the history of places and art.

These two days allow access to places usually closed to the public for the duration of a weekend.

On this occasion, the doors of the Prefectural Palace will be open*, and you will discover or rediscover the reception hall and the Hall of Mirrors, the large living room, the winter garden, the Jules Chรฉret galleryโ€ฆ

A highly symbolic site of the representation of the State, this historical monument is alive with numerous events: ministerial visits, work meetings, international summits, receptions, concertsโ€ฆ

This is why you will find a photography exhibition recounting some significant moments as well as a photography exhibition on the theme “Becoming Citizens”, dedicated to the various naturalization ceremonies.

In 2016, the Prefectural Palace welcomed nearly 7,500 visitors.
