From October 1st to 11th, the city of Nice will host the European Masters Games, taking place for the first time in France after Malmö (Sweden) and Lignano (Italy). Athletes over the age of 35 will compete in 27 disciplines.
Athletics, football, rugby, fencing, tennis… there will be no shortage of competitions during these European Masters Games which will undoubtedly attract both former sports stars and amateurs eager to challenge themselves in an internationally recognized competition by the International Olympic Committee.
To register for one of the EMG competitions, there is no need for a minimum reference time or an impressive record. You simply need to pre-register on the European Masters Games website and choose the discipline(s) you wish to compete in (a maximum of 3 disciplines per participant).
Regarding fees, it will cost €100 (for one to three disciplines) for residents of Nice and holders of the Senior Métropole card, while for other participants, the flat rate is set at €160 (see detailed services included in the registration in our side panel).
Finally, the European Masters Games will also offer a Games village located on the iconic Place Masséna, as well as opening and closing ceremonies, the location of which is still kept secret.
So, on your marks, get set… EMG!
