The Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region has just achieved significant success with European Funds, following the announcement by the Commission of the winners of the “Connecting Europe Facility 2018” call for proposals.

Three projects received a total of 16 million euros in European funding.

Renaud Muselier, President of the Regional Council and Member of the European Parliament, welcomes this success on two fronts: “It is the result of intense lobbying that allowed us to position the Marseille-Genoa axis within the fundable European corridors!”

The three projects selected by the European Commission:

• Improvement of multimodal logistics platforms at the Port of Marseille for sustainable combined transport in Europe (GPMM): €1.2M

• Preparatory actions for the deployment of the European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS L2 – baseline 3) on the Marseille-Ventimiglia axis Phase 1 (SNCF Network): €11.95M

• Modernization of the Med Europe combined transport terminal in Marseille (Intramar SA): €2.78M
