The exhibition on the manga Blitz was inaugurated this Thursday, October 20, at the Louis Nucéra Library in Nice. The exhibition will run until December 23, 2022.
The manga Blitz is a creation by Cedric Biscay from Nice. His work depicts the intense world of chess made in Monaco. This manga is also sponsored by master Garry Kasparov, the youngest world chess champion. In charge of the illustrations is mangaka Daitaro Nishihara, a figure admired and recognized for his great artistic talent. The story recounts the adventures of young students from the International School of Shibuya, who aspire to become great chess players while traveling between Japan, Monaco, and the USA. The goal of this manga is to promote this high-level sport.
In this exhibition, you will have the chance to admire a large collection of original documents. Storyboards, two special boards of Princess Charlene of Monaco, a volume signed by Garry Kasparov, and other pieces revealing the genesis of Blitz. Other events are planned throughout the exhibition.
