The artist Olivier Monge invites you to discover, during a stroll along the Quai des États-Unis, the intimate relationship that connects Nice and Turin. The two cities have indeed mutually influenced each other for several centuries when the County of Nice was under the aegis of the House of Savoy.
Architecture, art, urban planning, politics… Nice and Turin have left their respective marks. Today, the conversation continues, and we observe, by admiring the 18 photos measuring 1.80m x 1.50m from this exhibition, the colors, the landscapes, the forms, and the shared identity of the two cities.
These photos are taken from the work Nice-Torino published by Gilletta/Territoire/Hapax. This exhibition is a preview of a more complete one that will be presented in Turin in September 2011 and in Nice at the Forum of Urban Planning and Architecture in November 2011, as part of the celebrations for the 150th anniversary of Italian unity.
