From June 18 to July 12, 2012, at MuseAav, Garibaldi Square (Wednesday to Saturday from 2 PM to 7 PM)
For the past 2 years, Le Patriote has created an event with its summer exhibition, visible in Nice in June/July and then in September at the Fête de l’Huma.
In 2010, 41 local artists participated in the exhibition dedicated to the “150th anniversary of the annexation of Nice to France.”
In 2011, the newspaper highlighted the connections it has fostered for 60 years with the avant-garde art scene in the large-scale national exhibition: “Contemporary Art and the Côte d’Azur, a Territory for Experimentation 1951-2011.”
In 2012, Le Patriote once again invited artists from the Côte d’Azur to collaborate on this exhibition. Historical front pages of the newspaper, works created for peace in response to previous conflicts, as well as original works made for the occasion, including drawings, art photographs, sculptures, contemporary paintings…
The exhibition will be eclectic in genres and styles, representing the cross-cutting nature of these fights for peace and the avant-garde art movement that Le Patriote has echoed for 68 years!
The summer exhibition of the newspaper Le Patriote focuses on its Struggles for Peace from 1944 to the present day.
