Until March 9, on the occasion of the 135th edition of the Nice Carnival, original models by painter and illustrator Jean Damiano, as well as the original and previously unseen model by artist Gustav-Adolf Mossa, will be exhibited at the Maison de Nice.
The exhibition pays tribute to two emblematic figures of the Nice Carnival. Discover the models created by Jean Damiano, who passed away in April 2017, known for creating the King of Cities of the World in 1986 and the King of Love in 1989. Also admire a costume model of Madame Carnaval 1967 imagined by Gustav-Adolf Mossa (1907-1971), a symbolist painter known as the “spiritual father,” who worked with the Nice carnival creators for over 60 years, particularly with the Sidro family. These previously unseen collections have been lent by carnival creator Cédric Pignataro.
