Thierry Lagalla was born on January 23, 1966, in Cannes. Graduated from the Brossalhas School in 1983, he was urgently transferred to Nice where he brilliantly obtained, in 1991, his neo-folkloric artist diploma prepared at the ESRP. Today, he lives and works hard in Nice. This is how Tìlo Lagalla’s resume begins. A visual artist and folkloric videographer, he shows himself, exhibits, produces, manifests, and takes risks in videographic stagings that are funnier and more astounding each time. One could say that Lagalla is part of the vein of artists like Pierrick Sorin, Joël Bartoloméo, or even Serge Comte. But beware, as Tìlo Lagalla manages quite incongruously to dispel the sacrosanct Duchampian fantasy that haunts the corridors of contemporary art without hiding. Indeed, with finesse and skill, he succeeds in bringing humor and burlesque together. He is a militant of reality.

The stroke is simple and pure, avoiding any formal chattiness to offer the viewer the image of the essential reality of art, that of creation.

The Dutch artist Han Hoogerbrugge has been publishing interactive animations on his website www.hoogerbrugge.com since 1998, in which he himself is the main character. A continuous self-portrait in situations that always turn to derision. The animations visualize the spirit of our time in image and sound. From his animations, he created limited series C-prints (in A2 and A3).
Hoogerbrugge’s work has been exhibited at the Ars Electronica Center Linz, Austria (2003), Design Museum London (2003), American Museum of the Moving Image, New York (2004), Centraal Museum Utrecht (2004), Museum Tamayo, Mexico City (2004), MU Eindhoven (2005), and MAMA showroom art Rotterdam (2006)
