Water, the sea, the ocean, the blue planet: 70% of the surface of our planet, 60% of our body, it is well worth being interested in this vital liquid and mobilizing to preserve it, isn’t it?!

“Waves and Coastline” is a traveling exhibition of the Surfrider Foundation.

It presents the different aspects of coastal life and its environment, offering an in-depth reflection on eco-citizenship.

In a 200 m2 space, the exhibition consists of numerous multimedia and interactive supports on the following themes:

– Observing and feeling the nature of the coastline;

– Waves and wave science;

– Acting for our environment;

– Eco-Citizenship.

Through the discovery of the ocean, the beach, the dune, the exhibition covers many fascinating fields of expertise, such as oceanography, physics, meteorology, or ecology.

Multimedia tools for environmental education:

The exclusive surf film, the “real” wave pool, the 3D wave, the computer game about waste are the highlights of the installation.

Facilitators and an educational journey

The exhibition is intended for the general public but also for students with a visit in the form of an educational journey with an educational booklet.

Opening hours of the Maison de l’Environnement:

From Tuesday to Thursday from 9 am to 6 pm, Friday from 2 pm to 6 pm, and Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm.
Closed on Sunday and Monday.
