Bernard Autin was born on March 11, 1946, in Rouen. With his diploma in architecture in hand, he only dreamed of returning to the places of his childhood and adolescence, Guadeloupe. He fulfilled this dream in 1977. During the seven years spent on his sailboat “Gros Ka,” he never stopped drawing, fascinated by traditional Caribbean architecture, which serves as his reference to practice his profession as an Architectural Consultant. His encounter with a sculpture by Livio Benedetti in 2004 was a real love at first sight. After his sketchbooks on Pointe-ร -Pitre and Basse-Terre, he abandoned his pencils to unroll his sketches in sheets of metal. The need to learn and to get closer to the artistic currents of southern France brings him today to Nice.

Monique Orsini practices informal painting; without breaking away from reality, whose riches she knows, she relates to lyrical abstraction. It is a painting of movement and energy that offers us in this spring a dizzying floral explosion.
