No worries, Fabio Quartararo will be able to ride at Le Mans in full possession of his abilities next week. The official Yamaha rider has undergone successful surgery for the syndrome that cost him victory in Spain.
Fabio Quartararo will be able to get back in the saddle without apprehension at the French Grand Prix, the fifth round of the MotoGP World Championship, held on May 14, 15, and 16 on the Bugatti circuit at Le Mans.
On Tuesday, the Yamaha factory rider successfully underwent surgery in Aix-en-Provence for compartment syndrome and a related issue, a “trap” in the ulnar artery, which had caused his forearm to seize up on Sunday at the Spanish Grand Prix. Crippled by pain, the Nice native could no longer brake as hard as needed, nor properly feel the throttle. Leading the race, he fell to a thirteenth-place finish.
Now, this problem is behind him.
