Last night, members of the board and network of the federation, former student volunteers, partners, institutional representatives, and elected student officials celebrated this 20th anniversary together at the Maison des Etudiants in Saint Jean d’Angély. It was also an opportunity to look back on the key moments of the federation.
FACE 06 represents 20 generations of commitment to improving the daily life of the student community of the French Riviera. The organization was founded in 1999 by a group of students from various faculties. Since then, it has continued to develop, expand, and gain the trust of the student community.
Initially, through cohesion events for all students of the Côte D’Azur, such as the famous JAE (Student Welcome Day), which this year brought together more than 6,500 participants for its 11th edition.
Over these 20 years of existence, students have been able to participate in other events such as the Culture Marathon, the Cinema Night, the Campus Run, and other cultural and sports events.
FACE is also a major student organization in the academic life of the French Riviera, from Menton to Cannes.
Today, nearly 30 associations are members of FACE 06, thanks to its various actions conducted over different terms. Actions conducted by students, for students, in various fields: social, sports, cultural, student representation, etc.
Indeed, two of the flagship projects of FACE 06 are Apparté and AGORAé. A social housing project, in collaboration with the city of Nice and the Nice Côte D’Azur Metropolis, available for students; a social and solidarity grocery store for students in need, allowing them to purchase a variety of food and hygiene products at 15% of the market price, as well as benefit from a living space.
