Bringing together elected officials, students, institutional and associative partners, the Federation of Associations and Student Corporations of Alpes-Maritimes (FACE06) officially launched its projects for this new school year. On Tuesday, October 13, the back-to-school evening was placed under the sign of action to help young people in the Alpes-Maritimes.

Before an assembly of a few people, the FACE06 board presented its program for the 2026-2027 academic year this Tuesday evening. The evening began with a clear assessment: students are suffering and precarity continues to worsen. In a tense context, the federation recalls that the start of the school year has become a true luxury for some students.

Eight action areas to address daily emergencies

To meet the challenges on the ground, the federation is organized around eight complementary action areas. The solidarity and support area relaunches distributions and ensures the coordination of solidarity grocery stores AGORAé as well as the solidarity restaurant (offering 100 free meals per week), complemented by new initiatives such as solidarity Christmas and Sunday so brunches.

The prevention, health and sport area tackles mental health and social isolation that affects nearly one in three students in France by prioritizing sports and immersive cultural events such as movie night which will take place in November or the Night of Museums.

For its part, the network and training area structures the local associative fabric by promoting inter-associative cohesion, digital visibility and customized support.

The representation and engagement area acts as a direct bridge between students and institutions (CROUS, Côte d’Azur University) through the establishment of discussion cafés which are there to put forward ideas to be reported to institutions, particularly through members who sit on various academic councils.

The guidance, professional integration and entrepreneurship area tackles integration difficulties in the PACA region where only 60% of young graduates get a job within three years. To help young people in this sector, FACE06 offers several tools such as the Pro’Pulse fair, CV workshops or public speaking, as well as direct meetings between students and the professional world and sectoral afterworks.

The partnerships area structures sustainable agreements with players in catering, events and major sports clubs such as OGC Nice or Nissa Rugby to put in place exclusive discounts for the benefit of numerous BDEs (Student Offices). For example the Student Welcome Day called upon 25 partners present throughout the day.

Finally, the communication area deploys a human and authentic approach to ensure that information reaches each student directly.

Institutions in support

The launch evening also honored FACE06’s institutional, associative and territorial partners, all united by the same desire to improve the living conditions of young people in the Alpes-Maritimes. Among the figures present Côte d’Azur University represented by Laetitia Cochin, Vice-President of Student Life and Campus. She reaffirmed her unwavering support through partnerships and financial support via a dedicated agreement.

The Food Bank, represented by its President Tony Amato, welcomed the solid partnership forged with FACE06, highlighting the increase in volumes of food and hygiene products withdrawn (rising from 13 tonnes to 17 tonnes over five years, representing a market value of 89,000 euros in 2025). The AFEV, represented by its territorial delegate, recalled twenty years of action carried out in Nice to mobilize more than 500 solidary students against socio-educational inequalities.

On the political side, the city of Nice represented by Patrick Bacqué, municipal councilor and Auguste Verola deputy mayor of Nice welcomed the professional structuring of the federation, its leading role in the department and its commitment to promoting solidarity and culture close to the campuses.

These partners emphasized the importance of this unique chain linked to a cause: that of improving student living conditions.
