Since Tuesday evening, Italy has imposed new restrictions for people wishing to cross the border.
In order to prevent the spread of the Omicron variant and in light of the health situation, controls will be conducted at the entry of Italian territory until the end of January.
For vaccinated travelers: present a negative result of an antigen test taken within the last 24 hours or a PCR test taken within the last 48 hours (self-tests are not accepted). They must also have a complete vaccination scheme with a vaccine recognized by the European Medicines Agency.
For unvaccinated travelers: present a negative result of an antigen test taken within the last 24 hours or a PCR test taken within the last 48 hours (self-tests are not accepted); and observe a 5-day quarantine at the address indicated on the tracking form; isolation which can only be interrupted after 5 days and after a new negative test.
