Nice finally knows the identity of the Carnival Queen. At the Carnival House, yesterday afternoon, Christain Estrosi, Deputy Mayor of Nice, announced the results of the 2013 Queen election and her runners-up.
Finally, the result. Fanny, a 19-year-old from Nice, was elected Carnival Queen and ambassador of the five continents (this year’s theme). Julie and Natalia were respectively named 1st and 2nd runners-up. Fanny will thus enjoy a trip to Venice, a portfolio created by a professional photographer, and a one-year contract with Enjoy Models agency.
The online voting attracted nearly 42,000 visitors. 21,000 people from 113 different countries voted. There are 7,000 “likes” on Facebook and no less than 49,000 videos viewed on YouTube. A real success in short, as last year’s election recorded 23,530 votes from 57 countries.
