References to federalism are constant in European thought, whether to adopt it or reject it. However, between reflecting on the American model and seeking a path unique to European construction, the federal goal often remains a hollow reflection or one burdened with all sorts of passions.
This conference will seek to explore federal experiences, as well as philosophical reflections on the subject, in order to present the various interpretations of the term and how these can guide our understanding of Europe today and tomorrow.
