Latest News

The “C’est pas classique” festival returns for its 19th edition from November 9 to 24, 2024. With a lineup designed for the general public, the festival is expected to continue the momentum from previous years.

A rich and diverse program. This is the promise of the 19th edition of the “C’est pas classique” festival. It will take place from November 9 to 24. In total, 25 free concerts will be held in 13 towns across the Alpes-Maritimes. This festival, which has become a major event over the past 19 years, aims to make classical music accessible to everyone, in an entertaining and innovative way.

This year once again, the festival adopts a decentralized format, allowing a broad audience to enjoy shows in various locations like Nice, Cannes, or Grasse. Since its first edition in 2005, the festival has gathered nearly half a million spectators across the department, spread over close to 1000 concerts.

One of the highlights of the 2024 edition will be the opening concert with Umberto Tozzi, who will perform his greatest hits, accompanied by the Nice Philharmonic Orchestra. This concert will mark one of the artist’s rare appearances in France as part of his farewell tour “L’Ultima Notte Rosa.” It will be a significant and moving moment not to be missed.

An eclectic program

The festival also offers a variety of original shows, such as the pop-classical project by tubist Thomas Leleu or a musical journey around the world with violinist Charlie Siem. Noëmi Waysfeld, for her part, will pay a tribute to Barbara.

Children will not be forgotten, with a program dedicated to young audiences. Concerts specially designed for families will take place in Nice and Cannes, offering a fun and interactive introduction to classical music.

This 2024 edition is expected to stand out with its blend of tradition and modernity. With the aim of attracting both music enthusiasts and novices alike.
