This Friday, March 6, marks the launch of the 12th edition of the Festival Femmes en Scènes at the Théâtre Francis-Gag, attended by the artists and the festival’s patron, Muriel Mayette-Holtz.
“It’s always so strange to talk about women when you’re a woman; it’s so natural, so vast to be a woman“, confessed the director of the Théâtre National de Nice.
Women are in the spotlight around this symbolic date of March 8 (International Women’s Rights Day). They will take the stage at 13 key cultural venues in Nice. They will make themselves heard, seen, and expressed through song, music, dance, theater, and cinema.
From March 5 to 14, women take over the artistic landscape of Nice.
Find them at the Théâtre Francis Gag, Espace Magnan, the Louis Nucéra Library, the Palais Lascaris, Théâtre de la Cité, the Museum of Photography, La Providence, Théâtre de l’Impasse, Cinéma Mercury, Svetà Gallery, and L’Orange Bleue Arts School.
The inauguration will be followed by the performance of Métanoïa le présage du papillon, written and performed by Mélissa Prat (Production: Cie l’Albatros et l’Éléphant).
