The countdown has begun; in exactly one year, the FIFA Women’s World Cup will start. This event will take place in France, and likewise, in Nice, which is one of the nine cities selected for the competition and will host six matches.
Yesterday, Josรฉ Cobos, a former footballer and the Mayor’s delegate for sports events, unveiled a mural created by street artists near the water mirror of the Promenade du Paillon, at 20:19, a highly symbolic time.
Nice is stepping up again, as after hosting matches during the 2016 men’s Euro, it is embarking on a Women’s World Cup that promises to be full of spectacle and emotion, as a first French victory in this competition is highly anticipated: “it’s time to shine.”
Nice will host 4 group stage matches, one round of 16 match, and the third-place playoff.
