6,000 people from all over the Alpes-Maritimes department attended the final concert of the Printemps des Seniors given by Michel Fugain at the Palais Nikaia this Sunday.

This festive event organized by the Department began on March 28 and was a great success across the five host towns: Antibes, Grasse, Mandelieu, Menton, and Nice.

This year, an array of additional activities in the Seniors in Action program has sparked ever-greater enthusiasm. More than 11,000 tickets were made available free of charge to seniors to enjoy concerts over 15 dates.

The Printemps des Seniors also extended to nursing homes: a gesture of solidarity towards an audience eager to have fun and fully enjoy life.

In total, nearly 24,000 registrations were recorded for 65,000 available activity spots, compared to 54,000 last year. These included sessions at the Mercury cinema, more discovery days of heritage sites, double the number of relaxation days at the Berthemont-les-bains resort, and more trips…

The president of the Departmental Council did not hide his keen satisfaction when addressing the convened: โ€œThe Printemps des Seniors 2019 is truly a success, and its quality reflects the attention we pay to our seniors in the Alpes-Maritimes. All these actions illustrate our desire to make old age a stimulating, enriching, and fulfilling experience.โ€
