Last week marked the conclusion of the 2021 edition of the Sports Caravan, in its 20th edition.
Three stages were on the program, in La Trinité, Nice, and Carros. These sports days were a tremendous success with the participation of over 1,000 young people (up to 14 years old) who took advantage of the good weather to engage in the initiation (games, workshops, contests) of around twenty disciplines, supervised by the facilitators of CDOS08, the organizer of the event, and the departmental committees.
Gifts and medals were distributed to the young participants as a memento of their participation in this playful day, much appreciated by parents and grandparents alike.
Particularly satisfied with the week’s sequences as well as all the days organized in the 29 visited municipalities, CDOS06 president Philippe Manassero stated: “The joy of the children is our first reward. The Sports Caravan is a moment of initiation to sports and its values. We hope that today’s participants will be tomorrow’s athletes.”
As a reminder, the host municipalities were awarded the “Territory of Games” label … Paris 2024 is just around the corner!
After this great conclusion, we look forward to 2022 for a new edition of this now must-attend event.
