Firefighters: The European Court rules on the request against the vaccination mandate

Latest News

The European Court of Human Rights has rejected an application from 672 professional and volunteer firefighters against the Covid-19 vaccination mandate in France. “The court determined that these requests fell outside the scope of Article 39 of its Rules,” which allows for urgent action when applicants face “a real risk of irreversible harm.”

The firefighters invoked the provisions of the European Convention on Human Rights related to the “right to life” and the “right to respect for private and family life.” They asked the Court to “suspend the vaccination mandate” as well as “the provisions prohibiting them from carrying out their activity” for those who did not comply with this mandate.
