Since December 31, 2021, a new photo exhibition is on display at the Bay of Angels.
The photographer from Nice, Bruno Bébert, is the author of this exhibition. Titled “10 Vagues” (10 Waves), it features ten portraits of waves exhibited on the Promenade des Anglais, facing the Negresco.
The photographer from the Côte d’Azur took these 10 photos between 2011 and 2021, one photo per year, always at the same location, at the level of the pergolas of the Promenade.
This allows for a reflection on the changes and a part of the history of the city of Nice.
This exhibition was conceived in November 2011 during the storm “Rolf” which hit the capital of the French Riviera. Faced with the spectacular waves, Bruno Bébert repeatedly “shot” the sea crashing against the edges of the promenade.
After this first successful photo (published in Le Figaro and beloved on social media), the photographer continued to return under the pergola once a year to capture an image of the azure waves.
The exhibition is available for free under the pergola of the Promenade des Anglais until January 31, 2022.
