Thanks to the extension of platforms from 190 to 220 meters, the SNCF can now operate very high-capacity TER trains and increase from 1,000 seats to 1,800 seats per train.
These investments were included in the State-Region Plan Contract for an amount of 1.3 million euros, 50% of which was financed by the Region. The Principality of Monaco also participated in this funding round.
This new arrangement provides unprecedented comfort for all users of the line, who will no longer be cramped in the train but will instead have space.
New schedules, targeted on the days and times of high frequency, will allow for providing a public service that meets the expectations of users.
