First on-site visit of the Steering Committee for the development of the Castle Hill.

Latest News

Following the establishment of the Committee last November, this first visit served as a reminder of the proposed founding principles for this redevelopment: implementing a vegetation management plan, engaging in the heritage restoration of the romantic park, facilitating access to the entire site, improving welcome facilities and play options for children, and allowing for a (re)discovery of the heritage present on the site.

Some work is expected to begin in the first half of 2017.

The Chรขteau Park, with an area of 12 hectares, is a natural site classified as a “Natural Monument” since December 24, 1935. This site, open to the public, which holds significant tourist and heritage value, has not undergone any renovations for many years.

Located at the eastern end of the Promenade des Anglais, the Castle Hill is also an integral part of the overall Baie des Anges site and fully participates in the efforts made for the application to be listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
